About Us

Moravian started with three childhood friends. Carson, Joel, and Trent, who grew up together and shared a love for good coffee and honest community. In 2019, we moved to Grand Prairie and began roasting coffee, learning as we went and pouring ourselves into the craft. What began as a small roasting operation quickly became something bigger than coffee. It became a shared calling built on friendship, faith, and doing things the right way.

We opened our first café in 2023 with the hope of creating a space where people could slow down, feel welcome, and connect. Now, we’re excited to be opening our second location inside Bearded Axe Brewery in downtown Midlothian. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick cup or settling in with friends, we want Moravian to feel familiar, like a place you return to, not just pass through.

Jesus is at the center of why we do what we do. We care deeply about specialty coffee, but we care even more about people. Our long-term vision is to build real relationships with farmers, walk alongside pastors and industry workers, and help strengthen communities, spiritually, economically, and emotionally from the farm all the way to the café. To us this is what sustainability looks like in the long run.

The name Moravian comes from the Moravian Missionaries who were a group of people who dedicated their lives to prayer and mission work. There are even records of Moravians selling themselves into slavery to spread the gospel to slaves. When we were in college, we saw how they lived their lived their lives and were inspired to try and pursue how they lived in our own way. To be a Moravian to us is to live "All In".
